Six Nations Podcast Special

09 March 2018 | The Brewery, 52 Chiswell Street, EC1Y 4SD

MBN’s newest event and the perfect way to immerse yourself in the Six Nations….at a fraction of the cost of hospitality at Twickenham!

At the event, we will bring together the two most popular podcasts in world rugby! Jim Hamilton & Andy Goode’s ‘Rugby Pod’ and Tom Shanklin & David Flatman’s ‘Flats & Shanks’.

Throughout the lunch there will be hilarious stories shared PLUS a Q&A with none other than Martin Johnson and the incredible Doddie Weir.

Post-event (4pm-6pm), for the first time ever, ‘The Rugby Pod’ and ‘Flats & Shanks’ combine and will host a ‘Live Podcast’ from the Brewery which is open to all guests to stick around and enjoy!

On the day, we will of course be raising money for ‘Doddie Weir’5 Foundation’ and the fight against MND.

‘FLATS & SHANKS’

DAVID FLATMAN
‘Flats’ is now the undisputed funny man of rugby. Whether on TV, podcasts or at our events, his interviews always take on a unique twist.

TOM SHANKLIN
A former Welsh rugby union player and Lion. Tom won 70 caps for Wales, scoring 20 tries and is now partner of Flats in the highly regarded ‘Flats and Shanks’ podcast.

‘THE RUGBY POD’

JIM HAMILTON
The recently retired ‘Big Jim’ is fresh off the back of winning back to back European trophies with Saracens. Before that, Jim had stints at Leicester and Gloucester and won over 60 caps for Scotland!

ANDY GOODE
The man that brought gloves into rugby fashion. Andy played with Big Jim at Leicester and was capped 17 times by England, scoring 107 points!

SPECIAL GUESTS

MARTIN JOHNSON
A man who needs no introduction. A 5 time winner of the Five/Six Nations and of course a World Cup winning captain. Johnno will be taking part in a very special Q&A with Doddie Weir where they will share stories from their careers and give their thoughts on the 2018 Six Nations and 2019 World Cup!

DODDIE WEIR
Doddie Weir is one of rugby’s most recognised faces and personalities. Doddie was capped 61 times for Scotland and also toured with the Lions to South Africa in 1997. A previous winner of the ‘Rugby Speaker of the Year’, Doddie is one of the most likeable guys around!

In June 2017, Doddie revealed he was suffering with MND and immediately set about raising awareness of the disease and supporting fellow sufferers. He timed his announcement to coincide with Global MND Awareness Day and continues to support MND charities and research.
