Pride of St George Lunch 2026

  • The Brewery Totteridge Green 52 Chiswell St, London, EC1Y 4SA United Kingdom (map)
A truly uplifting and emotional afternoon as the rugby community came together to raise vital funds in support of Lewis Moody and MND.

The most popular St George’s lunch in the calendar returned in 2026 and proved to be the biggest rugby lunch of the year. A staple in many people’s diaries, the event brought guests together for a memorable afternoon of great company, excellent hospitality, and plenty of enjoyment. The atmosphere throughout the day was warm and lively, with guests clearly embracing the occasion and leaving with strong praise for the experience.

Guests were treated to incredible stories from World Cup-winning coach Sir Clive Woodward OBE and captain Martin Johnson, alongside fellow World Cup winners Lawrence Dallaglio OBE, Philip Vickery MBE and Jason Leonard, as we celebrated Lewis - a true warrior and and inspiration to all!

The Pride of St George lunch also supported the warrior that is Lewis Moody, who had recently been diagnosed with MND. Funds raised at the 2026 lunch went toward the fight against this devastating disease, and the generosity of those in attendance made a meaningful difference. The event was widely enjoyed and warmly received, combining entertainment, purpose, and a strong sense of community.

A huge thank you to Neil Back MBE, Ugo Monye, Andy Goode, Richard Hill, Ben Cohen MBE and Anthony Watson for hosting our top tables - all expertly brought together by David Flatman.

Guests also enjoyed a wonderful performance of St George’s Day classics from the 32-piece Royal British Legion Band alongside the fantastic Laura Wright! And, of course, special mention to the ever-passionate Tom Badcock and his exceptional selection of cheeses! 🧀
